Every Amazon seller I know uses AI now. And almost all of them are getting answers built on thin air. When you ask Claude or ChatGPT about your keyword rankings, wasted ad spend, or which products to source next, the AI is guessing. It has never seen your Seller Central account. It does not know your ACoS. It cannot read your Cerebro data. Until now.
TL;DR verdict
The Helium 10 MCP connects AI tools like Claude directly to your live Helium 10 data -- keywords, ads, profits, inventory, and 10 years of Amazon market intelligence -- so the answers you get are grounded in your actual account, not general training data. It is included with Diamond at no extra cost. If you are already on Diamond, connecting takes about five minutes. See how we test for our methodology. What is the Helium 10 MCP, in plain terms?
The Helium 10 MCP is a secure connection between your AI tool -- Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Perplexity -- and your Helium 10 account. MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI tools read data from external services. You do not need to understand the technical details to use it.
What it means in practice: you type a question in plain English, and instead of the AI fabricating an answer from its training data, it reads your actual Helium 10 data and responds from that. Ask for every keyword a competitor ASIN ranks for, and a ranked list appears in the chat in seconds. No exports, no spreadsheet, no switching tabs.
The data behind it is substantial. Helium 10's platform covers more than 4.5 million brands and tracks over $7 billion in monthly Amazon sales. That is the same dataset your AI now draws from when you connect the MCP.

How do you set up the Helium 10 MCP?
Setup has three steps and takes around five minutes once you have a Diamond plan.
Step 1: Be on Diamond. The MCP is included with Diamond at no extra cost. It is not available on Platinum. If you are on Platinum and want access, the upgrade to Diamond is $279/month on annual billing. That is the one requirement.
Step 2: Add Helium 10 as a connector inside your AI tool. In Claude, this is done through the Connectors section. The interface shows you a list of available connections -- add Helium 10, authenticate with your account credentials, and it links securely. The setup walkthrough is in the Helium 10 Help Centre, and Helium 10's team has published step-by-step guides for each supported AI client.
Step 3: Start asking. Once connected, your AI tool can read your Helium 10 data in any conversation where you ask it to. The connection is read-only. The AI can see your data but cannot change anything in your account, place bids, edit listings, or take any actions in Seller Central.
Which AI tools work with it?
Claude is the primary client, with ChatGPT, Cursor, and Perplexity also supported. Any AI tool that supports MCP connections should work. Claude is the most capable at handling the multi-step data queries the Helium 10 prompts typically involve.
What data does the Helium 10 MCP connect to?
| Helium 10 tool | What the AI can access | What you ask for |
|---|---|---|
| Cerebro | Reverse ASIN keyword data, organic and sponsored rankings | Every keyword a competitor ranks for, gap analysis vs your ASINs |
| Magnet | Keyword search volumes, trends, related terms | High-volume keywords for a topic, seasonal demand shifts |
| Black Box | Product database filtered by revenue, reviews, category | Products under $X with fewer than Y reviews and Z monthly sales |
| Keyword Tracker | Your live organic and sponsored rank per keyword | Which keywords you have lost rank on in the last 30 days |
| Listing Analyzer | Listing strength, keyword coverage, content gaps | What is missing from your listing vs the top 3 competitors |
| Profits | True margin per SKU after fees, ads, and returns | Which products are actually profitable at the unit level |
| Ads pipeline | Campaign-level click and conversion data by day/hour | Where ad spend is generating clicks but no sales |
What are the most useful things you can do with it?
The affiliate guide Helium 10 published for this launch ranks prompts by dollar impact. These are the six I would use first -- each one represents work that previously needed a VA, a spreadsheet, or 45 minutes of manual digging.
Find keywords your competitors own that you do not
Build a keyword bank for [YOUR ASIN]: run reverse ASIN on my product and competitors
[ASIN 1], [ASIN 2], [ASIN 3]. Find keywords where only one or two of them rank in
the top 15 but I do not. Flag the ones with real click and buy share.
In a documented run on a bamboo crew sock listing, this surfaced 1,365 gap keywords, sorted automatically into attack, push, and defend categories. The winnable niche around "cooling" and "thin work boot" language became obvious without any manual filtering. That is the kind of signal that takes hours to find in Cerebro manually.
Spot wasted ad spend by day and campaign
Look at my ad data and find where clicks pile up but sales do not, by day, over the
last 30 days. Rank the top five wasted windows, tell me the rules to set, and the
monthly savings I would get.
In a real account example from Helium 10's own training materials, Thursday and Saturday were the weakest days. The top five identified windows totalled $160-235/month in recoverable spend, and one campaign was flagged for a deeper structural fix. The prompt does not just identify the problem -- it tells you exactly which dayparting rules to set.
Track keyword declines and diagnose why
Analyse my Search Query Performance for [ASIN 1] and [ASIN 2] from June 2025 through
May 2026. Find keywords that used to bring me sales but have declined in the last
few months. Cross-reference with Keyword Tracker to show whether I have lost organic
or sponsored rank. For any lost sponsored rank, suggest a bid based on my historic
targets that previously held a top 5 position.
This is the most complex prompt of the six. It pulls 12 months of SQP data across multiple ASINs, identifies the decline pattern by comparing time periods, and cross-references two separate Helium 10 data sources in a single conversation. Doing this manually would take the best part of a morning.
Find new product opportunities with real filters
Find products under $25 with fewer than 200 reviews and over 1,000 monthly sales in
the kitchen gadgets category.
The MCP runs this through Black Box and returns a table with ASIN, price, monthly sales, monthly revenue, review count, and an opportunity score. What makes this different from using Black Box directly is that you can immediately ask follow-up questions: "Which of these have seasonal demand? Which have the weakest listing copy? Which are closest to an FBA size tier boundary?" The AI carries the context forward.
Check if your dimensions are costing you FBA fees
Pull the listing details for [YOUR ASIN] with package weight and dimensions. Am I
close to an FBA size tier boundary? If shrinking any dimension by under half an inch
would drop a tier, show me the per-unit savings and the yearly profit impact at my
current daily sales rate.
FBA size tiers are one of the most overlooked margin levers in a supplement or physical product business. I tested this prompt concept on a protein powder unit and found it was 0.3 inches over the Small Standard threshold -- a packaging change would have saved roughly $0.42 per unit, which at 800 units a day is significant. The MCP does the maths from your Profits data automatically.
Plan Q4 from last year's actual search data
It is summer but I am planning Q4. Run a historical reverse ASIN search on
[COMPETITOR ASIN] for October 2025 and show me the keywords with 500+ monthly searches
where it ranked in the top 10. Which of those seasonal keywords should be in my listing
and ads now, before the peak?
Historical keyword data is genuinely hard to work with manually -- you have to remember to pull it at the right time, export it, and compare periods yourself. The MCP makes it conversational. You can ask about any time window and immediately follow up: "Which of those am I currently ranking for? Which have I lost position on since last October?"
What does the Helium 10 MCP not do?
Honest limitations are worth knowing before you connect it.
The MCP is read-only. It cannot place bids, pause campaigns, edit listing copy, or take any action in your Seller Central account. It shows you the data and tells you what to do. You still need to make the changes yourself.
It is not fully autonomous. Helium 10's own guidance says to treat it as "set your targets, check in when it matters" -- not a system that runs without you. The prompts are most useful when you have a specific question, not as a general monitoring agent you set and forget.
The quality of answers depends on the quality of data in your Helium 10 account. If you have not connected your Amazon account to Helium 10 properly, or your ads data is not synced, the MCP has nothing real to read. It cannot make up numbers, so missing data means incomplete answers rather than wrong ones -- which is actually a feature, not a bug.
Finally, it requires Diamond. There is no Platinum access. If the Diamond upgrade is the blocker, it is worth evaluating whether the MCP alone changes the ROI calculation -- for sellers doing $10k+/month on Amazon, one good wasted-spend audit typically covers the upgrade cost.
Does it replace the Helium 10 dashboard?
No. The best way to think about it is the MCP does the digging; the dashboard does the monitoring. You still want Cerebro and Magnet open for exploration, and Keyword Tracker for daily rank surveillance. What the MCP replaces is the manual export-and-analyse step -- the 40-minute process of pulling data from three tools, pasting it into a spreadsheet, and working out what it means.
The sellers who will get the most out of it are those who already know which questions to ask. If you understand Amazon keyword strategy well enough to write a detailed prompt, the MCP gives you answers in seconds instead of hours. If you are new to Helium 10, the dashboard and Freedom Ticket training course are still the right starting point.
