title: "eRank Review 2026: Etsy SEO and Analytics Tool -- What It Gets Right and Wrong" excerpt: "eRank is the go-to keyword tool for Etsy sellers on a budget, but its sales estimates and letter grades are less reliable than its SEO features. Full breakdown inside." date: 2026-09-21 author: Mark Dunne category: Guides relatedTools: [erank, everbee]
Etsy's own keyword data is buried inside Seller Hub and almost useless for research. So most sellers end up picking between eRank and EverBee -- and the choice matters more than people realise.
TL;DR verdict
eRank is the stronger tool for Etsy SEO and keyword research. Its keyword explorer, listing audit, and Trend Buzz feature give real insight at prices that start free and top out at $29.99/mo. Where it falls short is sales estimation accuracy and its letter-grade system, which is misleading for new sellers. For how we tested, see /how-we-test.
How did we evaluate eRank?
I connected eRank to a live Etsy shop selling printable wall art -- around 60 active listings across three niches -- and ran it alongside EverBee for 45 days. The shop had a known sales history I could compare against tool estimates. I also tested keyword lookup limits on each pricing tier, ran the listing audit against listings I knew had SEO problems, and cross-referenced Trend Buzz data against actual search trends from Etsy's own marketplace insights.
Tools excluded from this review: Marmalead (pricing jumped significantly in 2025), Sale Samurai (limited UK/EU data), Alura (strong but priced above eRank's direct tier). Those might earn their own reviews in future.

What is eRank, and who is it actually for?
eRank is an Etsy SEO and analytics platform built for independent sellers, not agencies. It pulls data from Etsy's API to give keyword metrics, listing grades, competitor tracking, and search trend analysis. The core audience is solo Etsy sellers who want keyword research that goes beyond guessing.
It is not a full e-commerce analytics suite. It will not tell you your Shopify revenue. It exists purely in the Etsy universe -- and within that universe, the keyword tools are genuinely good value.
Best for: Etsy sellers who want systematic keyword research without paying EverBee or Marmalead prices
What works
- Keyword explorer with real depth. At Pro ($9.99/mo) you get 200 lookups a day. Each lookup shows monthly search volume, competition level, click-through rate estimates, and Google Trends data pulled alongside Etsy data. I used this to find a "wedding printable" sub-niche that was underserved -- 3 of the 5 new listings I built around eRank keywords cracked page one within 3 weeks.
- Listing audit is genuinely useful. Run it on any active listing and eRank checks title length, keyword placement, tag count, tag variety, image count, and description structure. It catches things you miss when you're editing 60 listings in an afternoon.
- Trend Buzz is underrated. It aggregates what buyers are searching for right now versus seasonal averages. I found a Christmas ornament trend picking up in August -- 6 weeks before it showed up on any competitor research round-up I could find.
- Free plan has real utility. Five lookups a day is tight, but the free plan never expires and covers 1 shop and 50 listings. Most tools give you a 7-day trial and then charge. eRank lets you test for months before committing.
- Competitor shop tracking. You can follow up to 50 shops on Pro and see their new listings, removed listings, and estimated sales activity. Useful for watching what a top competitor does when a trend shifts.
What does not
- Sales estimates are shaky at the low volume end. I compared eRank's estimated monthly sales against actual Shopify-synced data for listings with under 50 reviews. eRank overcounted by 30-60% on 4 of my 8 test listings. High-volume shops with hundreds of sales are closer to accurate. Etsy simply does not publish real sales data, so every third-party tool is extrapolating.
- The letter grades mislead new sellers. eRank grades listings A to F. An "F" on a new listing with no reviews is almost guaranteed regardless of SEO quality -- the grade weights recency, reviews, and sales history heavily. Sellers panic about F-grades that don't actually mean the listing is poorly optimised. The raw audit findings are more useful than the summary grade.
- Chrome extension needs work. 3.7 stars from 26 ratings in the Chrome Web Store (compared to EverBee's 4.7 from 393 -- data from RevenueGeeks' eRank vs EverBee comparison). The extension sometimes fails to load on Etsy search results pages, especially after Etsy updates its front-end. I had it stop working for 4 days after an Etsy redesign in July.
- Free plan daily limits hit fast. 5 keyword lookups a day is fine for casual curiosity, not for a research session. If you're trying to build a 20-listing launch, you'll exhaust the free tier in an hour.
- No product revenue tracking. EverBee shows estimated revenue per listing. eRank does not have that in an easy-to-read format. If your primary question is "how much is this top seller making?" you'll find eRank frustrating.
How does eRank compare to EverBee head-to-head?
The honest answer is that they are designed for different questions. Use eRank when you're asking "what should my tags be?" and EverBee when you're asking "what product should I make next?"
| Feature | eRank | EverBee |
|---|---|---|
| Keyword lookup depth | Best in class for Etsy | Basic - secondary feature |
| Tag suggestions | Yes - with competition grades | Limited |
| Listing SEO audit | Detailed - title, tags, images | Basic |
| Trend tracking | Trend Buzz - useful | No |
| Product revenue estimates | Rough only | Core feature (but flawed) |
| Competitor product research | Competitor shops only | Strong - revenue, sales, trend |
| Chrome extension quality | 3.7 stars | 4.7 stars |
| Price at lowest paid tier | $5.99/mo | $7.99/mo |
| Free plan | Yes - permanent | No - trial only |
Both tools have accuracy problems with sales data, just in opposite directions. According to analysis from SellerAIReady, EverBee tends to undercount sales on low-volume listings while eRank tends to overcount. Neither is a clean signal on its own.

What does eRank pricing look like in 2026?
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual price | Daily keyword lookups | Competitor shops |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 5 | 1 |
| Basic | $5.99 | $4.49/mo | 100 | 5 |
| Pro | $9.99 | $7.49/mo | 200 | 50 |
| Expert | $29.99 | $22.49/mo | 500 | 200 |
The annual discount runs around 25%. Basic is the right entry tier for most sellers -- 100 lookups a day is enough for regular keyword research without the Pro jump. Expert is only worth it if you're managing multiple shops or running a serious competitor analysis programme.

Which seller profile fits eRank?
| Scenario | eRank fit |
|---|---|
| New Etsy seller optimising first 20 listings | Strong - free plan works for this |
| Experienced seller doing quarterly SEO audit | Strong - listing audit + keyword refresh |
| Seller researching what products to add next | Weak - use EverBee for this instead |
| Print-on-demand seller tracking trends | Good - Trend Buzz is useful here |
| Agency managing 10+ Etsy shops | Strong at Expert tier - 200 competitor shops |
| Seller who wants revenue data per competitor listing | Wrong tool - use EverBee |
If you're running an active Etsy shop and want to get your keyword research onto a system, start with eRank's free plan, run the listing audit on your top 10 listings, and decide from there whether the Basic tier is worth $5.99. Most sellers I know end up staying on Basic indefinitely. The Pro jump makes sense only when you need deeper competitor analysis.
