Vitals Review
Best for New and growing Shopify stores under roughly $5K a month in app-attributed sales that want reviews, bundles, upsells and pop-ups from one dashboard without stacking five subscriptions.
Our verdict
Vitals is still the best value starting stack for a small Shopify store, and the module quality is good enough that most stores will never need to replace more than one or two pieces. Go in with your eyes open on the 2026 usage pricing though, because the $29.99 headline is now a floor rather than a ceiling.

What changed in this review
- Added the 40-day free trial available through the Seller Stacked partner link (standard trial is 7 days).
- Initial review from vendor documentation, App Store data and third-party reviews. Hands-on test on Mark's Shopify store pending.
TL;DR
Vitals scores 7.5/10 for e-commerce sellers. Paid plans start at $29.99/mo. Vitals bundles 40-plus Shopify conversion tools, from product reviews and bundles to visitor recordings and pop-ups, into one app for $29.99 a month. It is the highest-rated all-in-one app on the App Store and the obvious first install for a new store. The catch in 2026 is usage-based billing on top of the base fee once your store is doing real volume.

What Does Vitals Do?
Vitals is a single Shopify app that contains what would normally be a dozen separate installs. The headline modules are product reviews (with email review requests and imports), product bundles and volume discounts, BOGO offers, an upsell builder, a cart drawer, wishlist, sticky add to cart, pop-ups and lead capture, back in stock alerts, trust badges, currency converter, recent sales notifications, a shoppable Instagram feed, theme sections and a set of AI tools for product pages, ads and social posts. Visitor recordings are also included, which normally costs extra elsewhere.
The pitch is consolidation. Vitals' own homepage prices the eight apps it says it replaces at $708 a month, which is generous marketing maths, but the independent write-ups I read put a realistic standalone stack at $80 to $115 a month. Either way, $29.99 for the lot is cheap. Everything is configured inside the Shopify theme editor and the app loads as one script, which is why speed complaints are rare in the App Store reviews.
The company launched the app in March 2018, claims 31,000 active merchants and over 1,000 Shopify Plus brands, and in 2026 added Vitals AI and a Vitals MCP connector so you can ask Claude or ChatGPT questions about your store data. It also runs Create My Store AI, a free store generator that ships with Vitals pre-installed.
How Does Vitals Score?
How Much Does Vitals Cost?
There is one plan, All-in-One at $29.99 a month with a 7-day free trial, and Vitals' pricing page does not list an annual discount. What changed in 2026 is that five services are now metered above an included volume: direct revenue assists (free to $1K, then $40 for the $1K to $5K tier), conversion assists ($10 for $1K to $5K), visitor recordings (1,000 page views free, then $16 for 1K to 10K), email contacts (500 free, then $15 for 500 to 1K) and leads captured (25 free, then $1 for 25 to 100). Vitals says you only pay for the thing you passed. Several 2026 one-star reviews say the change was not communicated, with one UK merchant billed $155.99 and a UAE merchant reporting an extra $200 a month from the revenue assists bracket. Vitals' founder replied on the App Store apologising for the lack of warning. Through the Seller Stacked link the trial runs 40 days instead of the standard 7, which is long enough to see a full month of upsell and review data before paying.

What Features Did We Test?
Product reviews
Works wellCollects reviews by email, imports from CSV and other apps, and shows photo reviews on product pages. Independent reviewers note it lacks the SMS requests and loyalty incentives of a dedicated reviews app, which is a fair criticism, but for a store under a few hundred orders a month it covers what matters.
Bundles, volume discounts and BOGO
AcceptableThe most-used module according to the App Store listing and the reason a lot of merchants install it. A January 2025 UK review flags that buy-two-get-one offers cannot list variants such as flavours, and I would want to test that specifically on a supplement catalogue before relying on it.
Upsell builder and cart drawer
Works wellPre-purchase upsells and cross-sells in the cart drawer, configured in the theme editor. It does not do post-purchase one-click upsells at the thank-you page, which is where ReConvert earns its keep.
Visitor recordings
Works wellSession replays are included with 1,000 page views a month before metering kicks in. That is enough for a small store to spot broken layouts and confusing pages, and it removes a separate Hotjar subscription.
Single-script performance
Best in categoryVitals loads as one script from a CDN with no code injected into theme templates. Merchants quoted on the vendor site report no measurable speed score drop, and speed complaints are rare across the App Store reviews. No other all-in-one app makes the same claim as credibly.
Email marketing and pop-ups
AcceptableFine for a welcome pop-up and a basic newsletter, with 500 contacts included. It has no behavioural flows or segmentation to speak of, and one 2026 review calls the email pricing at scale "insane". Keep Klaviyo or Omnisend for anything beyond the basics.
AI tools and Vitals MCP
AcceptableThe help centre lists 13 AI tools including a page builder, ad generator, product description writer, background remover and video generator. Useful extras rather than a reason to buy, and note the AI video tool can trigger a small separate charge even during the trial according to a June 2026 review.
What Does Vitals Do Well?
Consolidation that actually saves money
Replacing reviews, bundles, upsells, wishlist, pop-ups and session replays with one $29.99 subscription is a real saving for a small store, and the App Store reviews are full of merchants who deleted five or more apps after installing it.
Theme-friendly implementation
One script, no template edits, everything configured in the Shopify theme editor. That means fewer conflicts with your theme and a much easier uninstall than apps that leave code behind.
Support that shows up
24/7 chat support is the most repeated compliment across nearly 3,000 reviews, with merchants describing overlapping header fixes and theme tweaks done by the support team on the spot.
Longevity and trust signals
Eight years on the App Store, a Built for Shopify badge, 31,000 merchants and a 4.9 rating that has held up. On a supplement store where trust badges and reviews do heavy lifting, using a well-known app matters.
Where Does Vitals Fall Short?
The 2026 usage-pricing rollout
Turning a six-year flat fee into base plus metered charges is defensible. Doing it quietly is not, and the one-star reviews from May, June and July 2026 all say the same thing. Vitals has apologised publicly but the pricing page still leaves the higher brackets vague.
Depth in every module is average
Reviews without SMS or loyalty, email without flows, bundles with variant gaps. Each tool is a seven out of ten. That is fine when you are starting out and a problem once one channel becomes your main revenue driver.
Billing hygiene complaints
A few 2026 reviews describe being charged after uninstalling. It is a small number against 2,952 reviews, but it is a pattern worth knowing about, so cancel through Shopify billing and keep the confirmation.

Who Should Use Vitals?
New Shopify stores in their first year
You need reviews, a bundle offer, a pop-up and trust badges on day one, and you do not yet know which of those channels will matter most. Vitals gives you all of them for less than most single apps.
Stores currently paying for four or more small conversion apps
If your app bill is $80 or more for reviews, upsells, wishlist and pop-ups, Vitals will almost certainly cut it and speed up your theme in the process.
Supplement and consumables brands that sell in multi-packs
Volume discounts and bundles are the core of a repeat-purchase product like mine, and having them in the same app as reviews and back in stock alerts keeps the product page consistent. Test the variant handling first.
Who Should Avoid Vitals?
Stores doing $5K or more a month in app-attributed sales
The usage brackets start biting here, and at $150 to $230 a month you can afford a specialist reviews app and a specialist upsell app that do each job better.
Brands where email is the main revenue channel
Vitals email is a pop-up and a newsletter. Klaviyo or Omnisend with proper flows and segmentation will pay for itself many times over, so do not let the bundled email tool tempt you into downgrading.
Amazon-only sellers
Vitals is a Shopify storefront app. It does nothing for an Amazon listing, and it does not sync reviews from Amazon.
