Weblium Review

Best for A seller who needs a cheap, quick brand site, landing page or waitlist page alongside an Amazon listing, or a tiny catalogue where Shopify's $39 a month is hard to justify.

Our verdict

Weblium is a competent, inexpensive general site builder with a basic shop bolted on, and for a brand page next to your Amazon listing it does the job for $11 to $17 a month. As a store platform it is not a Shopify replacement for anyone who ships physical goods at volume, and the missing export means you should decide that before you build.

TL;DR

Weblium scores 5/10 for e-commerce sellers. There is a free plan to get started. Weblium is a block-based AI website builder from the TemplateMonster founders, with a free plan, a $16 Starter tier and a $25 Business tier that adds a store, blog and multilingual pages. Good for a brand or landing site next to an Amazon listing. Too thin on shipping, tax and export to run a real product business.

What Does Weblium Do?

Weblium is a hosted website builder launched in 2017 by David Braun and the other co-founders of TemplateMonster, the template marketplace sold in 2013. The company is registered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with its product team in Kyiv. That heritage shows in the product: 300-plus templates, 250-plus ready-made blocks, and an automatic design supervisor that stops you making the layout ugly. You pick a template or let the AI generate a landing page from your brand name and a few sentences, then edit in a structured block editor rather than a free-form canvas.

The AI side is three things. An AI site generator produces a landing page in a claimed ten minutes. AI Writing, which is ChatGPT wired into the editor, drafts headlines, descriptions and blog posts. AI Visual calls DALL-E and returns four images per prompt. None of it is unusual in 2026, but it is included on the free plan rather than metered in credits, which is rarer than it should be.

The online store lives on the Business plan. Per the help centre and the store landing page you get product pages with options and variants, inventory tracking, sale prices, promo codes, related products, a product catalogue element with filters, digital products delivered by 24-hour download link, order management with export, automated customer emails, and product feeds to Google Merchant Center and Facebook Commerce Manager. Payments run through Stripe, PayPal, Square, Klarna, Mollie, iDEAL, Revolut, PayU and a long tail of Ukrainian and African gateways. The vendor's own help article still describes the store as a beta with more updates to come, which is telling for a feature that has existed for years.

How Much Does Weblium Cost?

Three tiers as of the September 2026 pricing page. Free: three pages, 100 MB storage, Weblium subdomain and branding, no search indexing, no store. Starter: $16 a month or $132 a year (works out at $11 a month), ten pages, 3 GB storage, custom domain, advanced SEO, lead capture, no store. Business: $25 a month or $210 a year ($17.50 a month), up to 500 pages, 10 GB storage, online store, blog, five languages. Any annual plan includes a free domain for the first year, and the Starter and Business features are available on a 14-day trial with no card. Weblium raised prices in August 2026 with existing customers able to renew at the old rate until 2 September 2026, so older reviews quoting a $15 Pro plan or $8.25 a month on annual are out of date. Multi-site bundles save 25 to 40 per cent. Downgrading means cancelling auto-renewal and buying a new plan when the current one ends. I found no Weblium transaction fee documented anywhere, only your gateway's own processing rate.

What Features Did We Test?

AI site generator

Acceptable

Per the vendor page it takes a brand name and a short description and returns an editable landing page in about ten minutes. Every 2026 builder does this now; Weblium's version is fine for a one-page brand site and not designed to generate a store.

Block editor and design supervisor

Works well

This is the feature reviewers keep praising. G2 and Capterra both score ease of use above 4.7, and the design supervisor keeps amateurs from breaking the layout. The trade-off, noted by DropInBlog and Capterra reviewers, is that you cannot place elements freely outside the block grid.

Online store

Needs work

Variants, inventory, promo codes, digital downloads and feeds to Google and Facebook are all documented. Shipping is pickup, courier or Nova Poshta at a fixed price or a text label, and tax is a code field passed to external systems rather than a calculation. Fine for a handful of SKUs, not for a real fulfilment operation.

Payment gateways

Works well

Twenty gateway articles in the help centre including Stripe, PayPal, Square, Klarna, Mollie, iDEAL and Revolut, with a Stripe test mode. No Weblium transaction fee is documented, which is better than Wix or Squarespace on their cheapest commerce tiers.

SEO controls

Works well

Meta tags, canonical links, Schema.org markup, hreflang, sitemap and robots.txt access, Search Console guidance and bulk redirect import are all there. A 2022 Trustpilot review complained of sitemap errors and 404s on vanished pages, so it is not flawless, but the toolset beats most builders at this price.

Portability and export

Poor

You can export products and form responses to CSV. You cannot export the site. AppSumo buyers have been complaining about this since 2019 and the help centre search confirms nothing has changed, so a Weblium site is a Weblium site for life.

What Does Weblium Do Well?

+

Cheap, fast brand sites

For a landing page next to an Amazon listing, a waitlist or a lead page, $11 a month on annual with a free domain is about as cheap as hosted builders go. The templates are current and the design supervisor means you will not need a designer.

+

AI included rather than metered

ChatGPT writing and DALL-E images sit inside the free plan. Most rivals sell AI as credits or restrict it to higher tiers, so this is a real, if small, advantage for someone knocking out a first draft.

+

Broad payment coverage

A UK or EU seller can take Stripe, PayPal, Klarna, Mollie and iDEAL without an app, and there is no documented platform commission. For a five-product catalogue that is all you need.

+

Serious SEO plumbing for the price

Canonicals, hreflang, schema and bulk redirects are usually Wix Studio or WordPress territory. For a content site aimed at ranking, Weblium gives you the switches without a plugin stack.

+

Support gets consistent praise

G2 scores support 9.8 out of 10, Capterra 4.7, and several Trustpilot reviewers mention live chat replies in minutes. The exceptions are real, and covered below, but the average is good.

Where Does Weblium Fall Short?

-

The store is a website widget, not commerce software

No weight-based or carrier shipping, no automatic tax, no multi-warehouse inventory, no Amazon or Shopify sync, and the vendor's own help article still calls it a beta. A supplement brand shipping 40 orders a day would hit the wall inside a week.

-

No way out

The lack of site export is the single biggest reason not to build anything you care about here. If Weblium raises prices again, or you outgrow it, you rebuild from scratch. Shopify at least lets you export products, customers and orders, and theme files.

-

Price rises with short notice

The August 2026 increase came with a 2 September lock-in date and, per Trustpilot, four days of warning for some customers. Reviewers with years on the platform called it pay up or leave. Combined with no export, that puts the vendor firmly in charge of what you pay next.

-

Support goes quiet when it matters

The same review sites that praise chat response times carry a Capterra complaint of being left hanging on a bug and a Trustpilot account of a site suspended for alleged fraud with no reply. Small sample, but it is the pattern to watch.

-

Stale documentation

The store overview and Stripe articles still reference a Pro plan that no longer exists, the homepage says 10,000 products while the store page says unlimited, and the blog quotes $11 a month as the starting price. Small things, but they make it hard to know what you are buying.

Who Should Use Weblium?

Amazon-first brands that need a brand website

You need a home page, an about page, an ingredients or FAQ page and a button to the Amazon listing. Starter at $11 a month on annual does that with a free domain and decent SEO controls, and you never have to touch the store.

Sellers launching a waitlist or lead page

The AI generator plus lead capture forms on Starter gets a pre-launch page live in an afternoon. Zapier and webhook notifications push sign-ups wherever you want them.

Very small catalogues or digital products

Five physical SKUs at a flat shipping rate, or e-books and guides under 25 MB delivered by download link, fit the Business plan's store comfortably at $17.50 a month on annual, roughly half of Shopify Basic.

Who Should Avoid Weblium?

Shopify sellers looking to save money

Weblium does not integrate with Shopify and cannot replace it for anything beyond a handful of products. Shopify Starter at $5 a month already covers the buy-button use case, and Basic gives you shipping and tax that Weblium does not have.

Anyone shipping physical goods at volume

Flat-rate shipping, manual tax codes and a beta store are not built for daily fulfilment, and there is no export path once you outgrow it.

Sellers who expect to move platforms later

No site export means the design, copy and page structure stay on Weblium. If that bothers you, and it should, build on something you can leave.
