How to Use AI to Scale Your Amazon FBA Wholesale Business in 2026

SmartScout, Helium 10, Seller Snap, Aura Repricer, and Feedvisor: which AI tools actually move the needle for wholesale FBA sellers in 2026.

MD
Mark Dunne

Wholesale FBA is not a creativity business. You buy branded products at cost, send them to Amazon, and compete on price and availability. The bottleneck is pure data processing -- scanning supplier catalogues, checking margins, watching the buy box, reordering before you stock out. That is exactly the kind of work AI tools are built to absorb.

I have been running a wholesale FBA operation alongside my private label brand for about 18 months. Right now the wholesale side carries 47 SKUs across 6 supplier relationships. I tested SmartScout, Helium 10, Seller Snap, Aura Repricer, and Feedvisor across that catalogue for 90 days (April to June 2026) to find out which tools actually speed up the work and which just add a subscription.

TL;DR verdict

SmartScout is the only tool built specifically for finding wholesale-friendly brands and mapping which sellers already have supplier accounts. Helium 10 handles profitability tracking and keyword monitoring across your catalogue. For repricing: Seller Snap if you are managing 200+ ASINs in competitive categories, Aura Repricer if you are still building. Feedvisor only justifies its enterprise pricing above roughly £150k/month in wholesale revenue. See how we tested each tool at /how-we-test.

How did we evaluate these tools?

We focused entirely on wholesale workflows -- not private label features, PPC optimisation, or listing creation. Five criteria:

  • Brand discovery speed -- time to identify 10 new brand targets worth approaching for wholesale accounts
  • Margin analysis accuracy -- how close each tool's profitability estimates were to actual landed costs and FBA fees on existing lines
  • Buy box win rate -- change in buy box ownership percentage over the 90-day test window
  • Inventory decision support -- whether the tool helped us reorder at the right time or still required manual sell-through review
  • Time saved per week -- estimated hours per week displaced from manual tasks

How does SmartScout help with wholesale sourcing on Amazon?

SmartScout's brand database covers 1.5 million Amazon brands and 40,000+ subcategories. The Seller Map shows exactly which other sellers are selling a brand's products, how many there are, and at what revenue volume. That is intelligence you cannot replicate manually or in any other research tool.

The wholesale prospecting workflow in SmartScout: find subcategories with high revenue but low seller concentration, filter to brands where fewer than 5 resellers hold the buy box, check whether those sellers have reseller accounts or are the brand itself, then approach the brand. I can run this analysis in under 30 minutes now. Before SmartScout, the same process took a full afternoon.

SmartScout

Brand-first Amazon market intelligence covering 1.5M brands and 40K+ subcategories with wholesale sourcing, Seller Map, and AI listing tools

from From $97/mo

Best for: Experienced wholesale FBA sellers prospecting for new brand relationships and supplier accounts.

I landed two new wholesale accounts in the 90-day test window from SmartScout research. One was a home goods brand with an estimated £34k/month in category revenue and only 3 active resellers -- exactly the kind of opening the tool surfaces. The other came through the Seller Map: I noticed a competitor I track had recently started selling a brand I had not considered. I approached the same distributor and got approved in 11 days.

What works

  • The Seller Map is genuinely unique. Click any Amazon seller and see their full catalogue, revenue estimates, and brand relationships. You can reverse-engineer a competitor's supplier list.
  • Subcategory filtering with revenue, competition density, and average selling price in one view cuts brand prospecting time significantly. I went from 4-6 hours per week on manual brand research to under 90 minutes.
  • Brand database revenue estimates are directionally reliable. Not precise -- I cross-checked several against my own account data -- but close enough for initial qualification decisions.
  • AI Listing Architect on higher tiers is a useful bonus for wholesale sellers who need to refresh content on listings they did not create.

What does not

  • The Basic plan at $29/mo excludes Seller Map and most filters. It is a demo, not a working tool. The Essentials plan at $97/mo is the minimum useful tier -- budget accordingly.
  • Revenue estimates for smaller brands (under $500k/month) are less reliable. Two brands in my test had SmartScout estimates 60-70% above what category sell-through actually showed.
  • No price sheet analysis. SmartScout finds the brands; it cannot tell you whether the wholesale cost offered actually works for your margin targets.
  • No MAP policy data. You have to check minimum advertised pricing separately.

How does Helium 10 support wholesale FBA sellers?

Helium 10 was designed for private label. But several tools within the platform are genuinely useful in a wholesale context -- primarily the Profitability Calculator for margin work, Cerebro for keyword tracking on products you sell but did not build, and Alerts for monitoring listing changes on your ASINs.

The Profitability Calculator is the feature I use most. I paste in an ASIN, input the wholesale cost, and it calculates FBA fees, storage costs, referral fees, and net margin instantly. It catches fees I occasionally miss -- particularly for oversize products or hazmat categories. Over 90 days I ran 312 ASINs through it while evaluating supplier price sheets. Faster than Excel, more reliable than guesswork.

Helium 10

The all-in-one Amazon seller platform with keyword research, listing optimisation, PPC automation, and profitability tracking

from From $99/mo

Best for: Wholesale sellers who also do private label and want one platform, or operators who need accurate profitability calculation and listing change monitoring across their catalogue.

What works

  • Profitability Calculator has a bulk mode: upload a CSV of ASINs with your cost prices and it returns fee breakdowns and margin estimates for each line. I processed a 78-line price sheet in 22 minutes.
  • Alerts monitors for listing changes, buy box losses, review shifts, and suppressed listings on ASINs you are selling. Critical when you are reselling someone else's brand and have no control over the listing.
  • Cerebro shows what keywords a competitor's listing ranks for. For wholesale, this tells you how much organic traffic the products you are considering actually attract.
  • The Helium 10 MCP integration connects directly to Claude for natural-language queries about your catalogue. I used it for reorder timing questions and it returned faster answers than building the same analysis in a spreadsheet.

What does not

  • Helium 10 does not do repricing. You need a separate tool for buy box management -- Seller Snap, Aura, or Feedvisor depending on your scale.
  • The platform is feature-heavy. If you are using it purely for wholesale (not listing creation or PPC), you are paying for tools you will not use. The Platinum plan ($99/mo) covers the wholesale-relevant features but you subsidise the rest.
  • Market Tracker and some of the deeper analytics are private label workflows. They add noise for wholesale operators who just need profitability and monitoring.

Does Seller Snap's AI repricing actually win the buy box?

Seller Snap uses game theory pricing. Most repricers react to competitors by matching or undercutting. Seller Snap tries to predict what competitors will do and moves price in advance, aiming to hold the buy box without unnecessary margin erosion. The algorithm learns competitor patterns over time.

On our 47-SKU catalogue over 60 days, buy box ownership went from 61% to 74%. Average selling price dropped 2.3% compared to the previous 60 days on fixed repricing. Net margin improved by 1.1 percentage points. That is a meaningful number at scale. At lower volumes, it takes months to recoup the $250/month cost -- which is the honest limitation.

Seller Snap

AI game theory repricing for Amazon sellers with buy box statistics, competitor analysis, and automated profit protection

from From $250/mo

Best for: Wholesale sellers with 200+ ASINs actively competing for the buy box, particularly in categories with multiple sophisticated resellers.

What works

  • Game theory approach visibly reduces the race-to-the-bottom dynamic. On several competitive ASINs, Seller Snap held price steady while competitors undercut each other, then recaptured the buy box when competitors went out of stock.
  • Buy Box statistics dashboard shows hour-by-hour buy box ownership, competing sellers, and price movements. Good for diagnosing which SKUs have structurally difficult competition.
  • Minimum price and profit floor settings are reliable. I stress-tested several edge cases and never saw repricing break the floor.
  • 15-day free trial is long enough to run a real test if you have an active catalogue.

What does not

  • $250/month starting price is hard to justify below roughly 150-200 active competing ASINs. Below that, Aura Repricer does a similar job at $97/month.
  • Setup requires calibration. I spent about 4 hours on initial configuration and another 2 hours adjusting after the first week. It is not plug-and-play.
  • The AI does not always handle buy box suppression situations well. If a competitor drops to an uneconomical price to liquidate stock, Seller Snap sometimes follows further than you want before the rules catch it.

Is Aura Repricer worth it for smaller wholesale operations?

Aura is the mid-range option: faster setup than Seller Snap, more capable than manual pricing, and less expensive than Feedvisor. It reprices every 1-2 minutes using speed-based rules rather than game theory, and costs $97/month at the entry tier.

I ran Aura on the same 47-SKU catalogue for 30 days before switching to Seller Snap, which gives a direct comparison point. Aura's buy box win rate was 64% -- 3 points above our baseline but 10 points below what Seller Snap achieved. The gap is most visible on ASINs with 4+ active resellers. On low-competition ASINs (1-2 other sellers), Aura and Seller Snap perform almost identically.

Aura Repricer

Speed-based Amazon repricer with 1-minute price refresh, buy box analytics, and AI competition filtering

from From $97/mo

Best for: Wholesale sellers building their catalogue who need reliable buy box repricing before their scale justifies Seller Snap's higher cost.

What works

  • Setup is significantly faster than Seller Snap. I had Aura running across my full catalogue in under 90 minutes including rule configuration.
  • 1-2 minute reprice refresh is among the fastest available. For fast-moving or time-sensitive categories, the speed advantage over slower repricers is real.
  • Competition filtering lets you exclude specific seller types: FBA-only, buy box suppressors, sellers with high out-of-stock rates. Useful for keeping pricing rules sensible.
  • $97/month is defensible on a catalogue of 50-200 competing ASINs where the repricing ROI is clear.

What does not

  • No game theory. Aura reacts; it does not predict. On very competitive ASINs with experienced sellers, the algorithm can get drawn into price wars that erode margin faster than Seller Snap would allow.
  • Reporting is thinner than Seller Snap. The buy box analytics show enough to manage the tool but not enough for deep competitive diagnosis.
  • ASIN limits apply on entry plans. If your catalogue grows quickly, check the tier limits before committing.

When does Feedvisor make sense for wholesale FBA?

Feedvisor is an enterprise platform combining AI repricing with demand forecasting and inventory intelligence. The sellers who use it are typically doing hundreds of thousands of pounds per month in revenue -- not because Seller Snap or Aura cannot compete on raw repricing performance, but because Feedvisor adds a demand intelligence layer neither of them offers.

The demand forecasting module analyses sell-through velocity, seasonal patterns, and competitor stock levels to recommend reorder quantities and timing. For a wholesale operation with 500+ SKUs and significant capital tied up in inventory, this has genuine value. For a 47-SKU operation, it is overkill, and the custom pricing (typically reported at $1,000-1,500+/month based on G2 reviewer accounts) reflects that.

Feedvisor

Enterprise AI repricing and demand intelligence for high-volume Amazon and Walmart sellers

from Custom pricing

Best for: Wholesale FBA sellers above £150-200k/month in revenue with complex inventory decisions across large, multi-category catalogues.

What works

  • Demand forecasting is what separates Feedvisor from pure repricers. It predicts sell-through velocity per ASIN, factors in supplier lead times, and recommends reorder quantities. For operations where overstock or stockout costs are significant, this pays for itself.
  • Price ceiling AI analyses competitor pricing history to set soft maximum prices based on demand signals -- useful in categories where racing to the top is as damaging as racing to the bottom.
  • Dedicated account management is included in most packages. For enterprise sellers, having someone who understands the platform is worth something that is harder to quantify.
  • G2 reviewers consistently rate Feedvisor highly on repricing algorithm quality, particularly for high-volume, multi-seller ASINs.

What does not

  • The pricing is a real barrier. Feedvisor does not publish prices; you need a demo and a sales conversation. Most independent accounts put entry at $1,000-1,500/month minimum.
  • Implementation takes weeks. There is a structured onboarding process and the AI needs data before it makes reliable recommendations. Do not expect to onboard and see results in the first month.
  • Below a certain revenue threshold the ROI simply does not close. I would not evaluate Feedvisor seriously below £150k/month in wholesale FBA revenue.
